Raphael Socha   (Producer, Writer, Director)

Is an internationally known, London & Berlin based film producer with over 20 years of experience in the industry. Socha graduated in law, history, philosophy and political science. He later completed his  studies at NYU Film School, while working as a graduate film student on Francis Ford Coppola’s "Cotton Club",  giving him a sense and flavour of ‘Big Screen Film Productions’.

Back in Europe Raphael became a founding member of the German Screenwriters Guild, VDD, where he was an executive board member for several years. He provided his experience in script consulting, knowledge of copyright law and international film financing to a great number of projects. Raphael then went on to produce and co finance award winning international feature films (‘Seagull’s Laughter’, ‘Kiss of Life’,  ‘Snowfever, and most recently "Death Match" and “Paperback Raita").

Between 1985 and 2000 Raphael also produced and directed a substantial number of award winning and known commercials, corporate films, music videos, as well as short films and some documentaries. He was co-founder, and former CEO of the successful commercials production companies, zak films and Hope & Glory Commercials, as well as Co-Founder and CEO of CIM GmbH, a company developing license software for the platform of interactive digital TV set top boxes (Sky +), later in 2001 acquired by an affiliate company of Nokia.

Raphael is today joint CEO and Co-Owner of the international film & television production Company Hope & Glory Pictures Ltd, based in Great Britain and Germany, co-founded in 1998 with Anya Padel.
